N.C. conservatives gather in Raleigh for annual Civitas conference
More than 200 people gathered for the Civitas Institute's fourth annual N.C. Conservative Leadership Conference September 11-12, 2009, in Raleigh. This video clip includes highlights from featured speakers: Carrie Prejean, the former Miss California USA who made headlines by expressing her support for a traditional definition of marriage; Grover Norquist of Americans for Tax Reform, who's pushing for increased government transparency; Alfred Regnery, publisher of The American Spectator; Donna Arduin of Arduin, Laffer, and Moore Econometrics, who says current federal government spending patterns could cost 67,000 N.C. jobs; and John Fund of the Wall Street Journal.
